Robust Liquid Crystal Polymer Evaluated for NASA Applications

Georgia Tech Research News, 22 Aug 2006 Researchers at the Georgia Institute of Technology have received funding from the NASA/Earth Science Technology Office to evaluate a material called liquid crystal polymer for electronics applications in space. The ultra-thin, paper-like plastic can incorporate a variety of electronic circuits, yet it molds to any shape and appears to perform well in the extreme temperatures and intense radiation encountered by NASA spacecraft.
