Ford Motor Chairman William Clay Ford Jr. wants to be seen as an environmental leader. But too often, that agenda clashes with what shareholders want: profits. Now the automaker seems to have found one of those rare technologies that are both good for the environment and good for business. Ford is turning paint fumes -- the scourge of any auto manufacturing plant -- into clean electricity.
